“You can only give with true passion to others when you can look at yourself with compassion.”
What does compassion actually mean?
It starts with kindness. With accepting that you don’t have to have it all figured out. That it’s okay to make mistakes. To feel tired. Lost. Or to not know what the next step is.
Self-compassion means giving yourself space to feel — without judgment.
And especially in nature, while walking, that space often opens up naturally.
Nature doesn’t judge.
The wind asks nothing of you.
The sea doesn’t demand your attention.
Everything is allowed to simply be. And so are you.
What I often witness during Walk and Talk coaching:
Clients gradually reconnect with themselves while walking outside.
They begin to reflect on their feelings, instead of only their thoughts.
And they discover that they can truly give to others — only when they start to feel compassion within themselves.
Do you want to find out how self-compassion can be the key to more balance and connection in your (expat) life?
Let’s walk together. Walk your story, let it go, and discover together what it means to you.
