🌷 A Colorful Day Trip: Tulip Experience Amsterdam in Noordwijkerhout

CLOSED FROM 11th of MAY till MARCH 2026

Location: Noordwijkerhout, South Holland
(open from 20th of March 2025 till 11th of May 2025)

If you’re visiting the Netherlands in spring, seeing the tulip fields in bloom is a must. But did you know that walking into most tulip fields actually damages the flowers , and the farmers’ hard work?

That’s why I love the Tulip Experience Amsterdam in Noordwijkerhout. I visit every year, as I have a passion for photography. For me, this is the best place to capture the vibrant colors, shapes, and textures of tulips , without causing harm.

This family-run location offers visitors the chance to walk through beautifully planted tulip gardens, designed specifically for photos, learning, and exploration, all while respecting the local agriculture. It’s a perfect spot for families, photographers, and anyone wanting to experience Dutch flower culture up close.

What to expect:

✔️ A sea of blooming tulips in every color
✔️ A short museum visit and video on how tulips grow
✔️ A pick-your-own tulip field (yes, you take home your own bouquet!)
✔️ A café and local products from the Bollenstreek region
It’s the perfect day trip if you’re looking for color, nature, and a true Dutch experience, just a short drive from Amsterdam, Haarlem, or The Hague.
💡 Local tip: Please avoid stepping into tulip fields along the roadside , they may look open, but they’re often private farmland. Visiting the Tulip Experience supports local growers and protects the flowers for future seasons.
💡 Did you know? Every year, farmers lose tens of thousands of euros due to people stepping into production fields for photos, even though walking paths are provided nearby.
