Walk and Talk and Meet is an excellent way to learn the Dutch language and to make new contacts at the same time.

Physical activities combined with language learning and social interaction in a relaxed environment often makes language acquisition more effective.
My weekly Walk and Talk and Meet sessions will be organized in either Hoofddorp (Toolenburgerplas) or in Amstelveen (De Poel), both outstanding recreation areas.
Many expats who d0 their utmost to learn the Dutch language, have come across barriers in the daily practice of speaking Dutch. The reason for this is that Dutch people tend to speak English to expats even when the expat tries to speak Dutch. This can be very frustrating and can lead to limiting the expat in improving their Dutch.
Since I get this kind of feedback from expats on a regular basis, I find the Walk and Talk and Meet fundamentally important. I cannot emphasize enough the various reasons why it is so important to keep practicing the Dutch language: it promotes self-confidence and is a very effective tool to integrate in the Netherlands even better, both at work and at home, for instance when doing groceries or bringing kids to school. In this way, the expat gets more easily involved in social activities as well.
Moreover, I am a very passionate walker myself as it gives me energy and clears the mind from stress.
